About DNS leaks
A DNS leak happens when your DNS queries bypass your VPN’s encrypted tunnel and go to your ISP’s DNS servers instead — revealing which sites you visit even while “protected.” A real DNS leak test requires a dedicated DNS server, which this free browser-based tool doesn’t run. Look for a VPN with a built-in DNS leak test (most top providers include one in their app) or a dedicated third-party DNS leak testing service.
